Bondage For Power
Tying for dominance and pain play

Bondage isn’t just for sex: rope is a great addition to all kinds of play. This class will teach you to use rope to establish and maintain power during a scene. We’ll focus on dominance / submission and pain play, but these techniques are useful for establishing power in any kind of scene.

Dominance and submission is all about creating a consensual power dynamic with your partner. Because this type of play is more psychological, dominance bondage tends to be less immobilizing than other kinds of bondage. Instead, the focus is on ties and positions that create a feeling of vulnerability and submission, or that simply serve as symbolic reminders of your power dynamic. We’ll also go into the psychology of d/s play and present some techniques for making your scenes more powerful and connected.

Bondage is also a fantastic tool for pain and sensation play. No matter whether you like spanking, flogging, tickling, or any other kind of strong sensation, you’ll need ties that securely restrain your partner while you play with them. Our focus in this section will be on ties that can safely withstand vigorous pulling while keeping your partner exactly where you want them.

This is one of three intermediate level classes in the Tying With Purpose series—the other two are Bondage For Sex (rope for the bedroom and beyond) and Bondage For Control (strict and immobilizing bondage). Although each class focuses on a particular style of play, the basic techniques can be adapted to a wide variety of play styles. The three classes may be taken in any order and together provide a comprehensive bondage education.
